Our History
The Story of Virtual Hall
Virtual Hall is the sister program of Mansfield Hall, our flagship residential living and learning communities for college students in Burlington, VT, Madison, WI, and Eugene, OR.
We first opened the doors of Mansfield Hall in Burlington, VT, in the summer of 2013, and since then we have successfully worked with hundreds of college students.
Mansfield Hall was inspired by my experiences as a college professor and director of on-campus student services, where I witnessed capable students falling through the cracks of the existing college support model, yet thriving when they were given direct support and coaching.
While Mansfield Hall provides residential, academic, and social support for a very specific student profile, we have always worked to make our proven coaching approach more accessible to a wider range of students and families. As a result of meeting the unique challenges caused by the pandemic in early 2020, we immediately realized that our comprehensive, holistic, and team-based approach could be easily and effectively translated into remote coaching services and affordably offered to a much wider range of students.
We enrolled our first Virtual Hall students in the fall of 2020, have seen great success with the remote coaching model, and we are thrilled that this format allows us to provide students all over the country, regardless of their college of choice, the very best of our years of experience, research, insight, and expertise.
We hope you will take the time to explore our site, and reach out to our team to see how we can help students make the very most of their college experience.
